Srinagar/Jammu, March 26, 2026:

The State Election Commission (SEC) of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir has officially released the revision schedule for the Panchayat Electoral Roll 2026, with April 1, 2026 set as the qualifying date.

According to the notification, the draft electoral roll will be published on March 27, 2026 (Friday) in Form PER-1. Following this, citizens can submit claims and objections for additions, deletions, corrections, or transpositions from March 27 to April 29, 2026.

To facilitate voter participation, the Commission will organize special camps at polling booth locations on multiple dates, including April 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26 (Saturdays & Sundays).

Officials will be available to assist voters with necessary forms and guidance.

The process of disposal of claims and objections will be completed by May 8, 2026, and the final Panchayat Electoral Roll 2026 is scheduled for publication on May 15, 2026 (Friday).

The Election Commission has urged all eligible voters to verify their details and actively participate in the revision process to ensure accuracy in the electoral rolls.
