Jammu, March 23, 2026:

The Directorate of School Education Jammu has issued an official order granting a temporary extension of the rationalization period for teachers in the Jammu Division.

As per the order, the extension applies to teachers who were rationalized during the academic session 2025–26. The decision has been taken to ensure proper utilization of teaching staff and to maintain the smooth functioning of schools across the region.

The communication, addressed to the Joint Director (All), Jammu Division, states that the previously approved rationalization period will now continue temporarily until further orders are issued.

Officials indicated that the move aims to provide administrative flexibility and ensure that schools facing staff shortages or imbalances continue to function effectively without disruption.

The order has been issued by the Personnel Officer of the Directorate, and copies have been forwarded to senior officials, including the Commissioner/Secretary of the School Education Department and Chief Education Officers across Jammu Division.
