J&K Police Kathua Reunites Missing Woman with Family in Billawar



Kathua, March 29:
In a commendable effort, the Jammu & Kashmir Police Kathua successfully reunited a missing woman with her family within the jurisdiction of Police Station Billawar.
The operation was carried out under the overall supervision of Mohita Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua.
According to official sources, on March 24, 2026, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Billawar by Remo Begum, a resident of Lahari, Tehsil Billawar, District Kathua, regarding the disappearance of her daughter, Rubina Begum, wife of Farman Ali and a resident of Dungara, Billawar.
Acting promptly on the complaint, the police registered a missing report (DD No. 18 dated 24-03-2026) and launched a search operation.
A dedicated police team led by SHO Billawar, Zaheer Mushtaq, under the guidance of SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar, conducted extensive searches across multiple locations. The team also utilized technical assistance and human intelligence to trace the missing woman.
Their sustained efforts bore fruit as the missing woman was successfully located and safely recovered.
After completing all necessary legal formalities, the woman was reunited with her family, and the missing report was officially closed.
The general public has widely appreciated the swift and dedicated efforts of J&K Police Kathua in ensuring the safe recovery and reunion.
