Continuing its drive against drug trafficking in the district, Doda Police has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered approximately 170 grams of charas-like substance during a routine patrolling operation.

According to police officials, the action was carried out on the directions of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta (JKPS). On March 10, 2026, a police team from Police Post Kastigarh, while conducting routine patrolling and checking in the area under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda, intercepted and detained three suspicious individuals.

The accused have been identified as:

Mubashir Hussain, son of Mohd. Sharief, resident of Basti Kotli, Doda

Muzamil Raja Beg, son of Nazir Ahmed Beg, resident of Udjyanpur, Doda

Khalid Shah, son of Javed Iqbal Shah, resident of Ward No. 9, Doda

During their personal search, police recovered about 170 grams of charas-like substance from their possession.

Following the recovery, FIR No. 56/2026 has been registered at Police Station Doda under the relevant sections of law, and further investigation into the matter is underway.

Police officials stated that Doda Police remains committed to taking strict action against drug trafficking and appealed to the public to cooperate by sharing any information related to drug peddling in their areas.
