Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma,  chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) in Khawas. The meeting primarily focused on the implementation of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 and preparations for the upcoming visit of NITI Aayog officials.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the Action Taken Report (ATR) on decisions made during previous meetings, presented by the Prabhari Officer of Aspirational Block Khawas. He emphasized strict adherence to timelines and effective follow-up to ensure tangible results on the ground.

📊 Focus on Key Performance Indicators

A detailed discussion was held on achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) under both the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) and the Aspirational Blocks Development Programme (ABDP). The DC stressed the need to improve performance across all sectors through better coordination and real-time monitoring.

🏗️ Project Implementation & Livelihood Boost

Reviewing the physical and financial progress of ongoing projects, the DC directed officers to expedite work and ensure proper utilization of funds. He highlighted the importance of diversifying livelihood opportunities and strengthening schemes under the National Rural Livelihood Mission to enhance income generation in the block.

The DC laid special emphasis on:

Saturation of social security schemes

Promotion of LPG coverage

Achieving targets under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana

He also directed banks and departments to ensure bank account coverage for all eligible beneficiaries, boosting financial inclusion in the region.

🎓 Education & Welfare Measures

In the education sector, the DC called for rationalisation of the pupil-teacher ratio and reviewed the status of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya. He also reviewed the progress of e-KYC implementation and instructed officials to complete the process at the earliest.

🏠 Housing Schemes

While reviewing progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), the DC stressed the timely completion of all sanctioned houses and directed officers to resolve bottlenecks on priority.
