Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated the Jammu Marathon Expo, marking a significant step towards promoting fitness, youth engagement, and tourism in the Union Territory.

The event has drawn participation from 3,558 domestic runners and 90 international participants, reflecting growing enthusiasm for sports and wellness initiatives in Jammu & Kashmir. The marathon aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle while fostering a spirit of inclusivity and unity among participants.

Later, the Chief Minister also flagged off a Bike Rally from Apsara Road, Jammu, adding to the excitement and energy surrounding the marathon event. The rally witnessed active participation from local youth and biking enthusiasts.

The initiative highlights the government’s commitment to promoting sports culture, boosting tourism, and engaging youth in constructive activities across the region.
