Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today chaired the 50th meeting of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB), marking an important milestone in the administration and management of the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
The meeting focused on reviewing preparations for the forthcoming yatra, including arrangements related to security, infrastructure, health facilities, accommodation, power supply, water availability, sanitation, and disaster management along the yatra routes and at the holy cave shrine. Emphasis was laid on ensuring a safe, smooth, and pilgrim-friendly experience for devotees from across the country.
Officials briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the progress of ongoing works and proposed measures to further strengthen crowd management, traffic regulation, emergency response systems, and inter-agency coordination. The Board also discussed the use of technology-driven solutions for better monitoring, registration, and real-time information dissemination to pilgrims.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, who is also the Chairman of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination and adhere to timelines to ensure that all arrangements are completed well in advance. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, transparency, and service delivery during the pilgrimage.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to make the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra secure, well-organised, and spiritually fulfilling, reflecting the rich cultural and religious heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
