Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary has made it clear that illegal mining will not be tolerated in the Union Territory.

Addressing the media, the Deputy CM announced the cancellation of all Mining Development Leases (MDLs) found to be in violation of norms. He emphasized that strict action will be taken against those involved in unlawful activities.

Choudhary further stated that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has been given full freedom to investigate the recent raids conducted at his brother’s premises.

“I have nothing to hide. The ACB has complete liberty to conduct a fair and transparent investigation,” he said.

The statement comes amid heightened scrutiny over mining operations in the region.
