Budget News | AI & Services Sector Push

New Delhi:
In a major forward-looking move, the Finance Minister has proposed the formation of a high-powered “Education to Employment and Enterprise (EEE)” Standing Committee, aimed at aligning India’s education system with future job markets and enterprise needs.
🔹 Key Highlights of the Proposal
1. Services Sector as Growth Engine
The committee will recommend measures to make the services sector the backbone of a Viksit Bharat. The government has set an ambitious target of securing 10% of the global services market share by 2047, positioning India as a global services powerhouse.
2. Focus on AI and Emerging Technologies
Recognising the rapid impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new technologies on jobs, the EEE Committee will assess how work patterns and skill requirements are changing. Its goal is to ensure that India’s workforce remains future-ready, skilled, and globally competitive.
3. Boost to the Orange Economy (Creative Sector)
To strengthen the creative and digital economy, the budget proposes:
Content Creator Labs in 15,000 schools
Content Creator Labs in 500 colleges
This initiative aims to nurture creativity, digital skills, and entrepreneurship among students, opening new avenues in media, design, gaming, animation, and online content creation.
🔹 Why This Matters
Experts believe the EEE Committee could play a crucial role in bridging the gap between education and employment, while simultaneously preparing India for AI-driven disruptions and unlocking the potential of the fast-growing creative economy.
Overall, the proposal reflects the government’s intent to blend education, technology, services, and creativity into a single growth strategy for long-term national development.
