Jammu, December 2, 2025:
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, School Education Department, has constituted a high-level committee to formulate a comprehensive and transparent transfer policy for Regularized Rehbar-e-Taleem (RReT) Teachers across the Union Territory. The order was issued vide Government Order No. 687-(JK)Edu of 2025 dated 02-12-2025.
The committee will be chaired by the Special Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, and comprises senior officials including Additional Secretary, Joint Directors from Jammu and Kashmir, and Deputy and Under Secretaries of the department.
Terms of Reference (ToR)
The committee has been tasked to:
1. Examine existing norms regarding transfers of RReT teachers.
2. Propose a uniform, need-based and student-centric transfer policy ensuring transparency, rationalization of staff and administrative efficiency.
3. Assess feasibility of periodic transfers, hardship postings and tenure-based placements.
The committee has been directed to submit a detailed report along with the draft transfer policy within two months.
The order was issued by Ram Niwas Sharma, IAS, Secretary to the Government, School Education Department.
