Udhampur, November 3:
In a continued crackdown against the menace of drug trafficking, Udhampur Police achieved yet another success by apprehending the 153rd drug peddler at Roun Domail.
A police team from Police Post Roun Domail, while conducting naka checking at Naka Point Roun Domail, intercepted a person moving from Manwal towards Roun Domail. During his personal search, the police recovered 5.88 grams of heroin from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Hans Raj, resident of Sounthan, Tehsil and District Udhampur.
Following the recovery, Case FIR No. 382/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur, and further investigation has been initiated to trace the source of the contraband and other individuals involved in the illegal trade.
Udhampur Police continues its strong commitment to make the district drug-free and ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens.
