🚨 Two Drug Peddlers Arrested with Heroin-Like Substance in Vijaypur

In a major success against drug trafficking, Samba Police today arrested two drug peddlers and seized approximately 06 grams of heroin-like (chitta) substance during naka checking in Vijaypur.

Police officials from Police Station Vijaypur, while conducting routine vehicle checking at AIIMS Naka Vijaypur, stopped a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AU-1653 coming from Samba side. During frisking of the rider and pillion rider, the police recovered the narcotic substance from their possession.

The accused have been identified as:

Kaka Ram, S/o Bawa Ram, R/o Jakh Jogpur, Tehsil Vijaypur, District Samba

Gurmail Singh, S/o Nirmal Singh, R/o Baba Bakala, Tehsil & District Amritsar (Punjab)

Both individuals have been arrested, and the recovered contraband along with the motorcycle has been seized.

Police have registered FIR No. 127/2025 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Vijaypur. The investigation is underway to trace the supply chain and other possible links.

Samba Police continues its relentless efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse in the district.
