Udhampur, November 30, 2025:
Udhampur Police have arrested three alleged drug peddlers from Srinagar during a special naka checking operation conducted at an undisclosed location in the district. The operation was launched as part of the ongoing drive against drug trafficking under the supervision of senior police officers.
According to police sources, during the checking, the suspects were stopped based on suspicion. Upon thorough search, a significant quantity of contraband substance was recovered from their possession. The arrested individuals are residents of Srinagar and were reportedly transporting the narcotics to other parts of the region.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at the concerned police station, and further investigation is underway to identify the supply chain and other persons involved.
The Udhampur Police reiterated their commitment to eradicating the drug menace and appealed to the public to come forward with any information related to drug trafficking.
