SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma Walks on Foot to Reach Remote Duggan and Bani Areas, Reviews Policing and Holds PCPG Meetings

Kathua, November 1: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, Mohita Sharma, conducted an extensive visit to the remote hilly regions of Duggan and Bani. She trekked through difficult mountain routes on foot to assess the ground realities.

During the visit, SSP Mohita Sharma met with teams of the Special Operations Group (SOG) at Duggan and Dhaggar, and later interacted with SOG personnel at Bani, reviewing operational preparedness and area domination efforts.
She also chaired Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at Duggan and Bani, interacting with local residents. The SSP emphasized the importance of community cooperation in maintaining peace and curbing anti-social activities.
In addition, SSP Mohita Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of Police Station Bani, reviewing the records, functioning, and welfare measures for staff. She directed officers to ensure people-friendly policing and deliver efficient public service.
This visit is being seen as a significant step toward strengthening police presence in far-flung areas and building trustworthy relations with the local community.
