SAMBA POLICE SEIZES 11 VEHICLES INCLUDING 4 DUMPERS FOR ILLEGAL MINING

Samba, November 04, 2025:

In a continued crackdown on illegal mining activities, Samba Police seized eleven (11) vehicles, including four (04) dumpers, involved in illegal transportation and extraction of construction material within the jurisdictions of Police Stations Samba and Ghagwal.

Police teams led by SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Ghagwal, along with Incharges of Police Posts Supwal, Rakh Amb Talli, Goran, Mansar (PS Samba), and Rajpura (PS Ghagwal), carried out intensive patrolling in their respective areas. During the operation, they intercepted and seized:

Four dumpers bearing registration numbers JK21G-7817, JK02BF-1931, JK08F-1273, and JK19-6026

Two tractor trolleys bearing registration numbers JK21D-3815 and JK21J-0863

Five tractor trolleys without registration numbers

These vehicles were found engaged in illegal mining and transportation of construction materials.

All the seized vehicles have been handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal proceedings.

Samba Police reaffirmed their commitment to continuing strong action against illegal mining to safeguard environmental resources and enforce the law effectively.
