Gujarat, November 15:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of tribal icon Birsa Munda by unveiling a massive ₹9,700-crore development package in Gujarat, aimed at accelerating growth and improving infrastructure in tribal-dominated regions.

Addressing a large public gathering, PM Modi paid tribute to Birsa Munda’s courageous role in leading tribal resistance during British rule and highlighted his lasting legacy as a symbol of valour, self-respect, and cultural pride for India’s tribal communities.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Prime Minister inaugurated multiple projects focused on rural development, road connectivity, healthcare facilities, drinking water supply, education, and livelihood opportunities. He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that tribal regions benefit from modern amenities and rapid development.

PM Modi stated that the initiatives launched today will not only strengthen basic infrastructure but also create long-term economic opportunities for tribal youth. He reiterated the government’s dedication to preserving tribal heritage while promoting progress and social empowerment.
