Jammu, Nov 24 — Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, today joined Hon’ble Union Minister for Coal & Mines, G. Kishen Reddy, at the Launch and Roadshow on the e-Auction of Limestone Mineral Blocks held in Jammu.
The initiative aims to promote transparent and progressive mineral development across the Union Territory. Speaking on the occasion, Omar Abdullah highlighted that the project places strong emphasis on environmental safeguards, scientific exploration, and employment generation for youth. He noted that tapping J&K’s mineral potential in a responsible manner will contribute significantly to the welfare of the people.
The roadshow marks a crucial step toward ensuring that limestone resources in Jammu & Kashmir are utilized sustainably, opening new avenues for industrial investment and livelihood opportunities.
