Notorious Thief Arrested, Stolen Property Worth ₹4 Lakh Recovered by Jammu (Rural) Police

Jammu, November 04, 2025:
In a major breakthrough against theft-related crimes, Jammu (Rural) Police have arrested a notorious thief and recovered stolen property worth approximately ₹4 lakh in the jurisdiction of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.

Acting promptly on credible information, a special police team led by Inspector Vikas Dogra, SHO Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, apprehended the accused identified as Sultan Mohd alias Kaka, son of Noor Mohd, resident of Domail Badola. The accused was found involved in FIR No. 125/2025 registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

During sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in multiple theft incidents. On his disclosure, police recovered stolen items including iron plates, iron pipes, shuttering plates, and a cutter machine, collectively valued at around ₹4 lakh.

The swift action of the police team has been highly appreciated by the local residents, who lauded the efforts of Jammu (Rural) Police for maintaining law and order. Further investigation is in progress to identify the involvement of the accused in other theft cases across the area.
