Zadibal, Srinagar — MLA Zadibal and Chief Spokesperson of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Tanvir Sadiq, today laid the foundation stone for a major drainage network project in Alamgiri Bazar, addressing a long-pending demand of the local residents.
The project, sanctioned at a cost of ₹76 lakh, aims to significantly upgrade drainage infrastructure in the Shehr-e-Khaas belt. Once completed, the new system is expected to benefit a large stretch of the area, improving sanitation and easing waterlogging issues during rains.
This is the second major drainage project launched in the constituency within a week, following the recent initiation of another ₹76 lakh drainage system at Vicharnag. Both projects reflect a renewed push toward strengthening civic infrastructure in Zadibal.
Residents of Alamgiri Bazar welcomed the move, expressing hope that the long-standing concerns related to drainage will now be resolved effectively.
