Ganderbal, Nov 18: In a major boost to the healthcare infrastructure of Ganderbal district, the local hospital has been equipped with an advanced ultrasound system worth ₹70 lakh, sanctioned under the Chief Minister’s Constituency Development Fund. The initiative has earned widespread appreciation for the administration’s continued efforts to strengthen medical services in the region.
During the event, Dr. Farah Shafi highlighted the urgent need for upgraded healthcare facilities, stressing the requirement of a Cath Lab and a Paramedical Hostel, collectively estimated to cost ₹17 crore. Responding swiftly, Health Minister Sakina Itoo approved the proposal on the spot, assuring full support from the Health Department.
She reiterated the government’s commitment to improving medical infrastructure and ensuring better healthcare access for the people of Ganderbal.
