Kishtwar, November 17, 2025:
In a significant push toward youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) convened today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), to review and finalize applications submitted under the Mission YUVA scheme.
During the meeting, 134 youth project applications, verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs), were presented for consideration. Each application was thoroughly examined on parameters such as project feasibility, eligibility criteria, and the socio-economic background of the applicants.
Following a detailed evaluation, the committee approved all 134 applications for financial assistance and handholding support, as validated by the J&K Bank Manager, Cluster Head, Kishtwar.
DC Kishtwar highlighted the critical role of youth-led enterprises in boosting the local economy. He directed the AD Employment Kishtwar to promptly forward all approved cases to the respective banks to ensure timely benefits for the applicants. He also instructed banks to expedite the sanctioning and disbursement of loans and provide continuous mentorship to budding entrepreneurs.
Mission YUVA continues to serve as a key initiative aimed at creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and fostering self-reliance among youth in Kishtwar district.
