CCTV Trail Exposes Suspect’s Route in Red Fort Car Blast

Byline: New Delhi — 13 November 2025
New CCTV footage has revealed the calculated path taken by the prime suspect, Dr. Umar Un Nabi, before the devastating car explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station that killed at least 13 people.

According to sources, Umar entered Delhi from Faridabad in a white Hyundai i20, crossed the Badarpur toll plaza around 8:13 am and travelled via the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, stopping overnight in the vehicle after pausing at a roadside dhaba.

The CCTV trail shows him navigating through more than 50 camera locations across Delhi — including East, Central and North-West districts — before parking the car at about 3:19 pm in the Sunehri Masjid parking area near the Red Fort complex.

At 6:52 pm the car exploded in slow-moving traffic near the Red Fort Metro Station.
Investigators say DNA tests confirm Umar was driving the vehicle, pointing to meticulous planning and deliberate evasion of detection.

The incident is officially being treated as a terrorist attack, with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) now leading the probe under anti-terror laws.
