Three Arrested in Assault and Snatching Case; Vehicle Seized by Udhampur Police

Udhampur, October 6:

In a swift action, Udhampur Police have arrested three accused persons involved in an assault and snatching case that occurred in the Majalta area. The incident took place on October 5, 2025, when a media person, Tarun Gupta, son of Ganesh Dutt, resident of Bhardai, Majalta, filed a complaint at Police Station Majalta.

According to the complaint, a white Alto car with partial registration number JK08, carrying 3–4 unidentified individuals, intercepted the complainant in the Khoon area, assaulted him, and forcibly snatched his belongings.

Acting promptly, a police team from PS Majalta traced and seized the vehicle bearing registration number JK08E-5121 within ten hours of the incident. Following a detailed investigation, police arrested the three accused involved in the crime:

1. Manjit Singh, son of Lok Raj, resident of Galak, Ramkot

2. Rohit Sharma, son of Prem Chand, resident of Galak, Ramkot

3. Shiv Saroop @ Shivam Gupta, son of Pawan Kumar, resident of Galak, Ramkot

Further investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the attack and identify any other individuals connected to the case.
