Kishtwar, Oct 2, 2025:
As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva Hai campaign under Sewa Parv of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan 2025, District Police Kishtwar and District Administration today organised a special cleanliness drive at Chowgan Ground, Kishtwar.
The drive was jointly led by Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, JKAS, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, and Sh. Naresh Singh, JKPS, SSP Kishtwar, along with gazetted officers, SHOs, police personnel, and officers from the district administration. Participants actively took part in sweeping, waste collection, disposal of plastic and non-biodegradable items, and overall upkeep of the ground.
Addressing the gathering, the DC Kishtwar and SSP Kishtwar highlighted the significance of cleanliness as a symbol of discipline, dignity, and civic responsibility. They urged officials to lead by example and motivate the community to maintain public spaces.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by Kishtwar Police and District Administration to uphold the vision of “Clean Bharat, Healthy Bharat” by adopting cleanliness as a continuous practice rather than a symbolic act.
