Jammu, October 5, 2025 — The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has ordered the closure of all Government and Private Schools across Jammu Division for two days — October 6 (Monday) and October 7 (Tuesday) — following a weather advisory issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in various parts of the Jammu Division. To ensure the safety and security of students and staff, the Directorate has decided to suspend all academic activities during these days.
The order, issued under No. 374-DSEJ of 2025, was signed by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu, and further circulated to all Deputy Commissioners, Chief Education Officers, and concerned departments for immediate implementation.
The department has also requested the Information Department to publicize this announcement widely through both print and electronic media.
