Jammu, Oct 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced a 15% relaxation in syllabus for students of Class 10th, 11th, and 12th appearing in the Annual Regular 2025 (Oct-Nov session) examinations.
As per the notification, the decision was taken following recommendations from stakeholders and the Directorate of School Education, due to academic disruptions caused by heat waves, torrential rains, cloudbursts, and floods.
Students of Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of Jammu Division, including the UT of Ladakh, will have to attempt only 85% marks in exams, which will be considered equivalent to 100% marks. However, the question papers will be set from the complete syllabus, giving students internal choice.
The notification further states that Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and grammar portions in language subjects will be marked individually as per the set pattern.
