New Delhi, October 3, 2025: India Post has announced a major upgrade to its Speed Post services, introducing revised domestic document tariffs effective from October 1, 2025. The updated structure offers competitive rates starting at ₹19 for local delivery up to 50 grams and up to ₹93 for consignments weighing between 251 to 500 grams over 2000 kms.
In addition to revised tariffs, India Post has enhanced the service with several value-added features including:
OTP-based delivery for improved security (₹5 extra, GST applicable).
Real-time SMS delivery notifications.
Online booking and payment services.
Registration facility as a value-added service.
Special discounts have also been announced:
10% discount for students sending communication to educational institutes (effective from November 1, 2025).
5% additional discount for new contractual customers.
Flat rate discounts for bulk customers.
With these new initiatives, India Post aims to provide a more secure, reliable, and economical delivery service, strengthening its position as the most trusted logistics partner in India.
