Five-Day Training on NDPS Case Investigation Concludes at Budgam

Budgam, October 03, 2025:

A five-day special training programme on the investigation of NDPS cases concluded today at the District Police Office (DPO) Budgam. The programme, held from September 29 to October 3, was organized under the guidance of SSP Budgam, Shri Nikhil Borkar (IPS).

The training aimed to equip Investigating Officers with advanced skills and knowledge required for handling NDPS Act cases. Police officers from various establishments of District Budgam, including PSIs and Readers involved in NDPS investigations, participated in the programme.

Sessions were conducted by Shri Dar Rashid, Senior Prosecuting Officer, DPO Budgam, who briefed participants on procedural requirements under the NDPS Act and highlighted landmark Supreme Court judgments related to narcotics cases.

The training also covered techniques of financial and technical investigation, with a special focus on provisions of the PIT NDPS Act and the compilation of dossiers.

The programme concluded with a commitment from Budgam Police to further enhance the professional competence of its officers for more effective and legally sound handling of narcotics-related cases.
