Cyber Police Jammu Busts ₹4.44 Crore Cyber Fraud; Three Accused Arrested from Gujarat

In a major success against cybercrime, the Cyber Police Station Jammu has busted a high-value cyber fraud worth ₹4.44 crore and arrested three accused from Surat, Gujarat after an extensive investigation.
💼 The operation was led under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Shri Joginder Singh (JKPS), with the active guidance of SP Kameshwar Puri and DySP Rohit Chadgal, Incharge Cyber Police Jammu.
📑 Case Summary:
On September 2, 2025, a victim reported being defrauded of ₹4.44 crore by cybercriminals impersonating law enforcement officials. The accused deceived the complainant using threats of “digital arrest” and forced money transfers across multiple accounts.
📂 FIR No. 28/2025 was registered under Section 66D of the IT Act at Cyber Police Station Jammu, initiating a thorough investigation.
🔍 Investigation Highlights:
Money trail traced across multiple bank accounts.
Accused network identified operating from Gujarat.
A special team led by Inspectors Gagandeep Singh and Ajit Singh arrested the following three accused:
1️⃣ Chauhan Manish Arunbhai
2️⃣ Ansh Vithani (S/o Rameshbhai Vithani)
3️⃣ Kishorbhai Karamshibhai Diyoria (S/o Karmasibhai Diyoria)
💰 Recovery Update:
Cyber Police Jammu has frozen ₹55,88,256.74 from linked accounts and credited ₹6 lakh back to the victim.
A part challan has been produced before the Hon’ble Court under Section 66D IT Act & BNS provisions.
