New Delhi, Oct 1: The Central Government has approved a 3 percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners. The revised rates will take effect from July 1, 2025.
With this decision, nearly 1.18 crore employees and pensioners across the country will benefit. The increase is aimed at offsetting the impact of inflation and providing relief to salaried staff and retirees.
Officials said the additional financial burden on the exchequer due to this hike will run into several thousand crores annually, but the move will provide much-needed support to government employees and pensioners.
