Jammu, September 24, 2025:
In a significant breakthrough, the Technical Lab Team of SP Rural Office Jammu has successfully recovered 40 missing mobile phones valued at around ₹7 lakh. The missing reports for these devices had been filed at various Police Stations and Police Posts across Rural Zone Jammu.
Acting on the reports received through concerned SHOs and Incharge Police Posts, the Technical Lab Team, led by Incharge ASI Daljeet Singh and working under the close supervision of SP Rural Jammu, Shri Brijesh Sharma (JKPS), traced the devices from different districts across the Union Territory of J&K.
With this recovery, several pending missing reports have now been closed. The recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude to Jammu Police for their dedicated efforts in retrieving the lost devices.
It is noteworthy that the Technical Lab Team had earlier recovered 150 mobile phones, bringing the total recoveries to 190 phones so far, with an estimated value of over ₹30 lakh.
Jammu Police reaffirmed their commitment to serving the public and appealed to citizens to promptly report lost or stolen mobile phones to ensure swift recovery action.
