Habba Kadal, September 21: Hon’ble MLA Habba Kadal, Adv. Shamim Firdous, conducted an extensive review of ongoing reconstruction and restoration projects at several revered shrines and community sites in Srinagar.
During her visit to the Shrine of Syed Mansoor Sahib (RA) at Behibagh, Zaldagar, she inspected the progress of major reconstruction and beautification works being carried out at an estimated cost of ₹2.5 crore, which also includes the construction of a separate mosque within the compound. She expressed satisfaction with the pace of the work and lauded the efforts made to preserve the sanctity of this historic site.
She also visited the Jinazah Gah at Chota Bazar, where reconstruction works worth ₹4.5 lakh are underway, and inspected developmental activities at Pathar Masjid and Syed Hamid Pora.
Adv. Shamim Firdous later paid obeisance at the Shrine of Hazrat Shah Niyamatullah Qadri (RA) at Safa Kadal, where she reviewed arrangements for the forthcoming Urs Sharief.
Reaffirming her commitment to public welfare, she assured that all these projects of spiritual and cultural significance will be completed in a timely manner for the benefit of the community.
