Jammu, September 01, 2025: In a major action against drug trafficking, Police Station Gandhinagar, Jammu, arrested a drug peddler and recovered 15 grams of heroin-like substance during routine patrolling near Rani Talab, Peer Baba Digiana.
The accused has been identified as Mohd Zakif, son of Mohd Aslam, resident of Madhwal near Allah Ditta School, Rakh Badali, Udhampur. The operation was led by PSI Sanjeev Sharma, Incharge Police Post Digiana, under the supervision of SHO Gandhinagar Inspector Jai Paul Sharma, SDPO South, and SP City South.
A case under FIR No. 192/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered, and the accused has been taken into custody. The contraband was seized as per legal procedures, and further investigation is underway to trace the supply network.
Jammu Police reaffirmed its commitment to eliminate the drug menace and appealed to citizens to share information regarding drug trafficking, assuring confidentiality of their identity.
