Udhampur, September 21:
The District Administration Udhampur has been conferred with the prestigious SKOCH Award 2025 for its innovative initiative “Didi Ki Rasoi”, aimed at promoting women empowerment and community service.
Implemented by the District Urban Development Agency (DUDA), the initiative provides affordable and hygienic meals to the public while simultaneously empowering women through Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
The recognition highlights Udhampur’s commitment to inclusive development and its efforts to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women, enabling them to become self-reliant contributors to society.
Officials stated that the award will further encourage the administration to replicate such people-centric models across the district for larger community welfare.
