Srinagar, September 19, 2025:
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today chaired a high-level review meeting of the Industries & Commerce Department to assess progress on employment generation, MSME support, startups, artisans’ welfare, and industrial investments.
Highlighting the achievements of the department, the Chief Minister informed that investments worth over ₹4000 crore have been attracted during 2025–26. He further announced that 1,127 startups have been registered and support has been extended to 4.39 lakh artisans across Jammu and Kashmir.
Emphasizing the importance of timely completion of industrial estates, Omar Abdullah directed officials to ensure that benefits directly reach youth, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to transforming Jammu and Kashmir into an investment hub, while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for its people.
