Chains Couldn’t Silence Him: Er Rashid Casts His Vote for Vice President, Upholds J&K Sentiments
New Delhi, September 9: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) President and Member of Parliament from Baramulla, Er Rashid, was on Monday brought from Tihar Jail to Parliament under tight security to participate in the Vice Presidential election.
According to AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, Er Rashid exercised his democratic right by casting his vote in accordance with his conscience, choosing the candidate he felt would best respect the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Inam Un Nabi further stated that despite his prolonged incarceration, Er Rashid continues to represent the voice of the people fearlessly and with dignity, reaffirming his political commitment to safeguarding the democratic rights of Kashmiris.
