In Samba district’s Sumb block, Dabri Panchayat Baleter, the mud house of Balbir Singh was completely destroyed due to the recent heavy rainfall. As rainwater seeped into the walls, they collapsed, leaving the family homeless.
According to reports, a landslide also occurred near the house, posing a serious threat to the nearby houses. Water accumulated around the house is now seeping inside. The family has dug a temporary pit to collect the water in an attempt to stop it from entering, but the situation remains critical.
Local residents said that the family is facing severe hardships. Meanwhile, the poor family has appealed to the administration to provide immediate assistance and rehabilitation so they can live safely.
