New Delhi, August 25, 2025: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has sanctioned a new Kendriya Vidyalaya at Ramkot in District Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir, under the Civil Sector. The school is among 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas approved in December 2024.
The new school, Kendriya Vidyalaya Ramkot, will function from the premises of Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramkot, Block Nagrota Gujroo, District Kathua (UT J&K) – 184205.
It will start operating from the academic session 2025–26 with classes I to V (single section each) and will expand in subsequent years based on feasibility. The admission process will be completed within 30 days after finalization of land transfer and temporary accommodation.
This initiative aims to provide quality education and strengthen the schooling infrastructure in the region.
