Surankote/Mendhar, August 16, 2025: Minister Javed Ahmed Rana conducted an extensive tour of landslide-affected areas in Surankote and Mendhar to review the damage and oversee restoration of public infrastructure.
During the visit, he inspected the worst-hit locations including Jarranwali Gali, Surhoti, and the vicinity of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Surankote. He issued on-spot directions to officials of various departments for immediate relief and coordinated efforts to ensure quick restoration of essential services.
Addressing the people, Rana reassured that the Government stands firmly with the affected citizens in this difficult time. He underlined the Omar Abdullah-led Government’s strong commitment towards timely disaster response and effective rehabilitation measures.
