Kathua | Heavy rainfall late last night in Kootah triggered flash floods, causing severe damage to the Bela slab that connects Kootah with Saida, Badholi, Surara, Nouni, and Odha villages.
The powerful flow of water uprooted the slab completely, leaving the road fully blocked. Vehicular movement has come to a complete halt, cutting off access to these areas.
Locals have been urged to exercise caution, as the route to Kootah is now completely disrupted. Authorities are assessing the situation, but restoration may take time due to the extent of the damage.
