Drug Peddler Nabbed with Heroin at Roun Domail by Udhampur Police

Udhampur, August 30:

In a major success against the drug menace, Udhampur Police on Friday apprehended a drug peddler and recovered heroin-like substance from his possession during a naka checking operation at Roun Domail.

According to police, a special naka was laid near Baley Bridge, Roun Domail by a team of Police Post Roun Domail led by its ICPP. During the checking, one person moving from Udhampur towards Roun Domail was intercepted. On his personal search, 3.30 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered.

The accused has been identified as Shubham Prashar alias Cobra, son of Ravinder Sharma, resident of Roun Domail, Udhampur.

In this regard, FIR No. 318/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation is underway.

Police reiterated its commitment to continue the drive against drug peddlers to ensure a drug-free Udhampur.
