Kathua, Aug 17: Expressing deep concern over the loss of lives and property due to today’s devastating cloudburst in Kathua, the Chief Minister has announced ex-gratia assistance from the CM’s Relief Fund, in addition to support under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
As per the announcement, ₹2 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, ₹1 lakh for those severely injured, and ₹50,000 for individuals with minor injuries.
For property damage, ₹1 lakh has been sanctioned for fully damaged houses, ₹50,000 for severely damaged houses, and ₹25,000 for partially damaged houses.
The Chief Minister stated that the assistance is aimed at providing immediate relief and helping the affected families rebuild their lives after the tragedy.
