Blind Murder Case Solved in Poonch, Husband Arrested Within 48 Hours
Poonch, August 28, 2025 – District Police Poonch cracked a sensational blind murder case within 48 hours, arresting the husband of the deceased woman and recovering the weapon of offence.

On August 25, Police Station Loran received a missing complaint regarding Hajra Bi, wife of Abdul Ghani, a resident of Chikriban, who had gone to graze goats but did not return home. A dead goat found at the spot under suspicious circumstances raised further doubts.

During a massive search operation, the woman’s body was discovered from a natural cave near the grazing site, where it had been concealed. Police registered FIR No. 18/2025 U/S 103 BNS at PS Loran.

A special team, headed by SHO Loran Naveet Anjum under the supervision of ASP Poonch, was constituted to investigate the case. Through technical and human intelligence, the husband of the deceased, Abdul Ghani, was identified as the main accused.

During interrogation, he confessed to the crime, admitting that he killed his wife and attempted to mislead police by also killing his goat to create the impression of a wild bear attack. Based on his disclosure, the weapon of offence was recovered.

The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway. District Police Poonch reiterated its commitment to ensuring justice and public safety, vowing that no criminal will escape the law.
