DC Poonch Reviews Progress of Mission Yuva Implementation
Poonch, May 31: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, chaired a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the progress of Mission Yuva, a flagship government initiative aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among the youth.

The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, General Manager DIC, Deputy Director Employment & Counselling Centre, Assistant Labour Commissioner, District Nodal Officer from JKEDI, and the District Manager NRLM. The Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Surankote and Mendhar participated virtually.

At the outset, the Assistant Director, Employment presented a detailed PowerPoint briefing, outlining the mission’s objectives, achievements, and the phased approach to its implementation.

He informed that Mission Yuva began with district-wide awareness camps to engage young aspirants, followed by the collection of applications via the Mission Yuva mobile app and official portal. Currently, the initiative has entered its third phase, which involves the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the proposed entrepreneurial ventures.

So far, 29 applications have been received under the scheme. The task of preparing DPRs has been entrusted to the District Nodal Officer of the Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI).

DC Kundal emphasized the need for effective coordination among departments and timely completion of all required formalities to ensure the smooth execution of the mission. He urged all stakeholders to remain proactive and committed to the initiative’s success.
