Jammu, April 1, 2025: Continuing its crackdown on absconders and criminals, the District Police Jammu has successfully apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past 14 years.
A team from Police Station Bishnah arrested Ramesh Kumar, son of Bhajan Lal, resident of Chak Bala, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu. He was wanted in connection with FIR No. 27/2011 under Sections 452 and 323 of the RPC at Bishnah Police Station.
A warrant under Section 512 CrPC had been issued against him by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) Bishnah. Since committing the crime, he had been on the run, avoiding law enforcement.
After completing the necessary legal formalities, the accused was presented before the Hon’ble Court for judicial proceedings.
