Samba, March 5, 2025: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Virinder Singh Manhas-JKPS, conducted a comprehensive review of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) data feeding process at Police Station Samba. He was accompanied by DySP Headquarters Samba and DySP DAR Samba.
During the visit, SSP Samba emphasized the need for SHOs, Investigating Officers (IOs), and Munshis to personally enter data into CCTNS rather than depending solely on designated operators. He stressed the importance of accurate and timely data entry to enhance efficiency, transparency, and modern policing practices.
He also directed officers to maximize the use of CCTNS in daily operations, ensuring that all records are updated systematically. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of e-Sakshaya, e-Summons, and the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS), urging police personnel to make extensive use of these digital tools for streamlined law enforcement.
The SSP’s review underscores the department’s commitment to leveraging technology for better policing and improved public service delivery in Samba district.
