Samba, March 22, 2025: In a swift action, Samba Police arrested two snatchers within 24 hours of the incident and recovered the stolen money along with a sharp-edged weapon in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
According to reports, a written complaint was lodged at PS Vijaypur on March 20, 2025, by Laxman, son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Nepal and currently residing in Gagore, Vijaypur. Laxman, who works as a cook at a fast-food shop in Gagore, stated that on March 19, 2025, around 11:00 PM, three unidentified individuals entered the shop, threatened him with a Tokka (sharp-edged weapon), and snatched ₹3,000 along with a mobile phone before fleeing from the spot.
Acting promptly on the complaint, a case (FIR No. 32/2025) under Section 304 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 4/25 of the Arms Act was registered at PS Vijaypur, and an investigation was launched.
A dedicated police team, led by SHO PS Vijaypur, worked tirelessly and successfully apprehended two accused—Sandeep Kumar alias Gori, son of Ram Lal from Gudwal, Vijaypur, and Nikhil Kohli alias Kuku, son of Subash Lal from Govindpuri Colony, Vijaypur—within 24 hours of the crime. The police also recovered the snatched money and the Tokka used in the crime.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
