Police Attaches Terror Associate’s Property in Shopian Under UAPA
Shopian, March 03: In a major crackdown on terrorism, the Shopian Police have attached a double-storied residential property belonging to Ilyas Ahmad Dar, son of Mohd Shafi Dar, a resident of Wandina Melhoura. The action was carried out under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).

The property, registered under Khasra No. 115 in Wandina village, is valued at Rs. 24,09,221 and has been officially recorded in revenue records. Legal notices prohibiting its sale or transfer have been issued under the provisions of UAPA.

This attachment is linked to Case FIR No. 94/2024 of Police Station Zainapora and was executed in the presence of a duly constituted police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring complete legal compliance.

Authorities have termed this action as a significant step in the ongoing crackdown on unlawful and subversive activities in the region. The Shopian Police reaffirmed their commitment to neutralizing security threats and maintaining law and order.

In collaboration with other security agencies, the police continue to take strict action against individuals and entities involved in activities that pose a risk to national sovereignty and integrity.
