New Delhi: The Central Government has officially notified an increase in the salary, daily allowance, and pension of Members of Parliament (MPs) and former MPs, effective from April 1, 2023.
As per the revised structure, the monthly salary of MPs has been raised from ₹1 lakh to ₹1.24 lakh. The daily allowance has also been increased from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500. Additionally, the monthly pension for former MPs has been revised from ₹25,000 to ₹31,000.
This move aims to provide better financial support to the representatives and ex-representatives of the Parliament.
