Poonch, March 6: In a significant step towards supporting the education of children of registered laborers, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch, Vikas Kundal, released a cheque of ₹1,00,37,100 under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCWWB).
This financial assistance aims to provide better educational opportunities to the children of construction workers, ensuring their access to quality education. Speaking on the occasion, DC Poonch emphasized the government's commitment to uplifting the labor community by extending welfare benefits.
The initiative is expected to benefit numerous families in the district, easing their financial burden and encouraging higher education among underprivileged students. Authorities have urged eligible laborers to register under the board to avail of similar benefits in the future.
